Every morning and evening, Tucson and I walk the town
The visitor's center - though it is closed due to Covid 19
Row of shops but all look empty
or have a museum setting
They guys always make a ruckus when they see Tucson
We walk as far as the Cowboy Motel on the other side of town
We put in 12 hours a week at the B&B. We have settled into a daily schedule
of working 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Gary does some shrub installations
and while the owners were away on an overnight backpack trip, Gary painted the concrete floor in the Laundry Room
I got to water the gardens and do some flower planting
Moqui the resident Cat keeps an eye one me.
She's much happier since there have been guests coming back.
For a break, we drove the Pine Creek Scenic Byway
up to Posey Lake - a 17 mile trip on dirt road.
Tucson liked the drive because we could only do about 15 mph so he could enjoy the sites.
We passed some horses - horsing around.
It's a well packed gravel road
With beautiful views
Oops the sign says Posey Lake Campground is impassable.
Guess we will go as far as we can.
Still looks good
A snow pole marking the trail for snowmobiles doesn't bode well
As we get further up there is still some snow around. It was 80's when we left Escalante, it is 68 up here.
We even find enough snow for Tucson to play in
We make it to the Campground
The Lake is still partially frozen - Tucson dips his paws in and decides not to go for a swim.
Gary checks out the Camp Host site
We continue on - until we can't
Time to turn around and head home. Will definitely continue on this road once the snow melts.
