St. Augustine, FL - Week 3

Week 3 starts off with some better weather.  

 So, we head to the beach!  We can drive on it again!

 The horrible heat and humidity has broken.  Mid 70's and a steady breeze.

Tucson loves it!

We walk along the beach 

 

and see an Osprey trying to fish

It is quite windy to fly

We visit our friends Amy and Rob to check out their 48' Catamaran they have been restoring for the past 2 years.  They have been doing an amazing job.

Their Dog Ollie - quite the little character!  They named the boat after him "CatDog" because he behaves more like a cat.

Made them a couple of wine glasses with the CatDog theme

They are living their dream and hopefully will set sail early next year, 

though we will miss them!

Finally got a replacement for the 3rd Microwave Convection Oven 

that died in 2.5 years.  An Airfyer Oven and Instant Pot instead

 

Another happy day on the Beach

We drive to Palm Coast to walk on the Waterfront Park trail

There was a Manatee swimming down the river but I wasn't able to get a picture, I did get one of this Heron and Egret

On our way out of the way home we decided to pop in at the RV Park we worked 2 years ago.  This time we managed to catch the train.

Didn't get a chance to hook up with any old friends but did catch this double rainbow on the way out.

Can't believe how 3 weeks have flown by!

 

 

 

 

 

 

St. Augustine FL, Week 2

 The week starts out with a Nor' Easter.  

We head to Crescent Beach to check it out.

 

 

 It's about an hour before full high tide and it's almost up to the stairs

 The weather improves and we do a drive down Shore Blvd and do a walk

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tucson enjoys the Squirrel Forest next door

SpaceX launched a rocket out of Kennedy Space Center

 

 

Then 2 days later they launched a manned rocket with 4 astronauts 

headed to the International Space Station. 

 

St. Augustine, FL - Week 1

Made it to our winter home this year - St. Augustine, FL

After we get settled, we head to our favorite beach - Crescent Beach

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We did Church - Drive in Service

 

 

and went to my and Tucson's favorite walking spot - Princess Place Preserve
