Trip west - Geneva State Park, OH

I managed to find one site at Geneva State Park for Saturday,
so off we go to Ohio

We arrive in the rain

We are able to fit into our site without unhooking

The rain stops so we venture out for a walk

Gary opts for the closed lake trail.  Not a lot of people or bikes, but not a lot of trail either

We end up at the beach

It rains all night and the next morning there are a few puddles around

Our site is drier than some though

Today we head to Kentucky, I want to see the Bernheim Forest and the Forest Giants.

Trip West - Lake Erie State Park

We leave Sidney as the waters are rising and start making our way to North Carolina.

It's a roller coaster ride

First stop is Lake Erie State Park.  Snagged 2 nights here.

We got a nice site

A walk down to Lake Erie

The park is full of red headed woodpeckers

It's a big lake

We drive back to Dunkirk to check out the Pier

Good thing we didn't go this way with the RV

or this way

The Mayor chatting up the local folks

Nice place to sit and relax a spell

There is the Dunkirk Lighthouse

Tucson gets to meet Marmaduke

We head up to Luensmen Overview Park hoping its a bit cooler up there

A hazy view of the lake

and a shady 1/2 mile walk in the woods.

No room here for Saturday so we head just down the road into Ohio to Geneva on the Lake State Park where they had 1 site left for Saturday.

Trip West - Sidney, NY

We make it to our Boondocker site in Bainbridge, NY, about 7 miles from our friends house.  Full hook up for $10 a night.  decide to stay here the whole time as it is going to be in the 80's and humid so can use the 50 amps for both ACs.

We make it back to Muddy River Brewery for a craft beer and hard cider

Checked out local parks

Thought this phone in a tree to call lost loved ones was cool

Traffic around here can get bad

Gary helps his friend Brian put in a new porch/deck for a hot tub

We get to go to a concert

making progress on porch/deck

It has rained almost every day - rivers are getting up there.  Time to get out of Dodge and move on towards our camp hosting job in North Carolina

Leave one of my kindness rocks at the boondocker site
