Tucson - Last two weeks in November

Had some stormy weather
It rained pretty hard and the wash filled up

But at least we get some nice rainbows

We tried to check out the Tour de Tucson but got out too late

A too early walk along the wash netted Tucson and I a chase by a Javelina

and another had a Coyote going the other way

Just about every day we see the Hawk on our morning walk

Found a good Dog Park for Tucson

Headed to the Holiday Artisan Market with my friend Marcia and met up with an old friend Sandy from Desert Trails.
Got in some Golf at Rolling Hills

Started out a bit chilly
But warmed up by the 3rd hole

The hummingbirds discovered my feeder

Managed another bike ride

In spite of more rain and more water in the wash

but got many beautiful sunrises
and sunsets

Can't believe we are going into December already!

Tucson - Bike Swap and more

Up early again
 Take Tucson on his walk
Today is the Fall Bike Swap, we go and meet up
with friends from Desert Trails
Lots of good deals to be had
In the afternoon I take Tucson to Chuck Ford Lakeside Park -
only two miles away

We go for a walk around the fishing reservoir

A few people fishing but only this guy seems to be catching anything.

The next day we try out our new stuff from the Bike Swap
and head out on the Loop Trail.  Gary's new top says "Cycling the Erie Canal"

Not too far down the path we spot a woman with zoom lens aimed for the wash.
I pull over to see what she is looking at and get a few shots of this Coyote
Who are you looking at?
He pounced on something just after I took this shot.
Oops seems like we ran out of trail
 Let me check the map

We had to cross the wash to continue on the other side.

We get to Fort Lowell Park and I fill my water bottle

and admire this little guy
We turn back and cross back over the wash at Sabino Canyon Rd.
Only a few miles let to go
and the final stretch down the wash behind the RV Park

A great ride - just over 15 miles.  Time to chill and then head to the Pool
and Hot Tub later.  May not get another chance for a few days - rain for the next 3 days.

Trip West - Winter Haven RV Park - Week 2

The Moon is still out this morning when I take Tucson for his walk

Looks like it is going to be another beautiful day
Today I spot the Hawk on top of a light fixture in a neighboring parking lot.
He keeps an eye on Tucson and Me.

 He is a handsome devil
When we return, Tucson spotted this woodpecker on the tree across from us.
Before it gets too hot we decide to try out the Bike Loop across the Wash.  We are in between to access points.  The only one we can get to from the Park is on Golf Links Rd.  It is a short ride along the path by the Wash behind the RV Park.
Then another short stint along Gold Links Rd
 to the Access point.
Today we head North.
It is a beautiful bike path.  At one point Gary's chain came off.  It was only a minute or two before someone stopped to help.  While he helping two retired police officers on bike patrol stopped to make sure we were okay too.  We were able to continue on instead of turning back.  Next time we will be sure to have our tools on board.
Commemorative tree parks are designed to address multiple community needs: environmental restoration, flood and erosion control and stormwater runoff reduction, beautification, carbon sequestration, reduction of the urban heat island effect.

Garden of the Winter Solstice: 80 commemorative trees were planted in 2016-2017

Garden of the Masks: 70 commemorative trees were planted in 2014-2015

Saw this Roadrunner on our final stretch back home
A view of the RV Park across the Pantano Wash
 There's home!
Lunch and then a well deserved trip to the Pool
Later we  headed to the Road House Cinema for Dinner and a Movie with our friends Marcia and Cliff
Reclining seats with swivel tables are quite comfy
Enjoying a great salad and Margarita during the Show - Harriet - Great flick!
We will be back to this place!
