Trip North - Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend we have to leave the RV Park as they were full when we booked the month.  We go to stay at my friend Laura's driveway.

It is always fun to stay there because I get to go visit the animals at Stokoe Farms down the road.

There's a 10 month old Kangaro, Kiah that needs to be bottle fed

He's not alone as there is another K-Roo and Kora, red Kangaroos

This is Pip the Patagonia Mara and her sidekick Rudy
He shares well with the chickens

Gammy the Nigerian Dwarf Goat has a problem with her mammary sack
and has to be milked.  They found a way to do it by using a human breast pump.
This is the only bottle fed baby goat, a Nigerian Dwarf Goat 3 weeks old.  He guzzled down a bottle then fell asleep cuddled up in a sack.

Gary's grandson has come for the weekend
and makes friends with K Roo

Bunji a Bennetts Wallaby (albino)

The Dromedary Camels, Essa and Dune take it easy

The goats are getting trained for Goat Yoga

Baby Goats are fun

 Baby goat meets Kangaroo

I also get a chance to meet Elizabeth's horse Sugar

and the new barn kittens

Friday was a washout, Saturday was a bit better,
but Sunday was gorgeous so I got to get some gardening in

and Gary helped plant a couple trees

Then he prepared a nice Pork Roast on the grill when he was done

Monday we take Caleb to the train station and then we take the 5th wheel back to Red Rock Ponds for another 2 weeks.

It was a really nice weekend

Trip North - Rochester -1st 2 weeks

We head to Rochester and layover at Turning Stone Casino as our reservation doesn't start until tomorrow, plus we want to visit my high-school friend Kathy and her husband Ben.  Did not make reservations as I figured 175 spots that there would be one available on a Sunday in mid-May.  Unfortunately it was Saturday and they were full.  The clerk however was able to find us a site for one night.

We had a nice visit and dinner but neglected to take pictures

A stop at Orbachers for lunch - disappointed as it was usually a good stop

Make it to Rochester

and our Campground in Holley, NY about 20 miles west of Rochester

A really nice little park across from the Erie Canal

About 60% seasonal and well maintained

A quick trip over to the Canal Trail for biking

Either a Canadian Geese daycare or child trafficking.  Counted 45.

They said the Canal was open but this section is dry

Got in a round of Golf at the course 3 miles away where we stayed a few years ago

and enjoyed a Food Truck dinner at the campground

We did manage to make it to Highland Park to see the lilacs though they were on their way out, the azaleas were in full bloom

The rest of the time we spend just relaxing at home and watching the Baltimore Orioles eat grape jelly from my hummingbird feeder

Oops -that must have had some peanut butter on it.

Trip North - Schodack Island State Park - Play

We stuck around the campground on weekends because it was busy  then, during the week we ventured out to visit the area.

A chance for Gary to get together with his Grandson

A trip to John Boyd Thacher State Park

A lovely walk along the boardwalk at Lewis A. Swyer Preserve

We got to check out the Tulip Festival in Albany

We get back to find the Clampetts checking in

. The Motorcyle arrived from Florida

and found a new home.

will be missed but it limited our hiking, Golfing and Bicycling.

Two weeks flew - next stop Rochester!
