Trip North - Schodack Island State Park - Work

I had found us a hosting job at Schodack Island State Park just outside Albany, NY on the Hudson River.  A couple hours of work a day and just being a presence in the campground in exchange for a site for 2 weeks.

Not a lot of action at the Park this early in the year, but it does fill up pretty good on the weekends.

Spring is just arriving here and the red buds are blooming

It's a really nice park, situated on the Hudson River

It has a few hiking trails.  We walk them to take out any invasive/obtrusive vines.  The japanese bittersweet will take over if left to itself

They used the chinese bittersweet to make this deer sculpture

Weeding is one of the tasks we can do

Tucson is a good supervisor
Gary hard at work
I had already started weeding before I remembered to take the before picture

Finished with these beds

This one had a bunch of crab grass growing into it

Left one of my Kindness rocks for the staff

It wasn't all work - we did get to play . .
