Summer 2026 - 1st 2 weeks July

 

Month started out with the 3 Free Days at the Recreation Areas.  It sure brought people out!  They had to shut down the Parks temporarily because there was no parking left.

The Army Corp of Engineers wanted to stress Water Safety.  So I made packets up with information to hand out.  For families with young children I added activity books and Bopper the safety dog tatoos.  They were very excited.

It was a super hot weekend.  We had been without air-conditioning the previous 2 weeks.  We were given an air-conditioned truck to work out of but was too hard to keep getting in and out of truck to help people.  They had us close shop the 3rd days and do area checks instead.  

Had lunch at the Dam overlook.

The following weekend (our last) a ranger brought in a portable Ir conditioner from home.  Think the Walking. Stick wanted to come in.

I told Gary we should take the car up to the clubhouse!  Geared up to go get the car.

A fun new experience but it's getting pretty hot here so time to move on.
