Elmore visit - Concert at the Toledo Zoo

We head into Toledo to catch the 1st Music under the Stars at the Zoo.  The Toledo Symphony Concert Band is playing.

Tonights concert is Stars, Stripes and Sousa

Walking through the Zoo we get to see the Bald Eagles

 and Flamingos

 It's a really nice venue

It was a wonderful night of music

Elmore visit - Toledo Art Museum

The Toledo Museum of Art

 It is a world class Museum.  So much to see but we only have just over an hour

Something for everyone - would love to go back and see more.

Off to the Toledo Symphony Orchestra under the stars at the Zoo.

Elmore, OH visit

We head up to Elmore, OH to visit our friends Dan and Earlene from Jekyll Island

We're here

 We pull in behind the guest house

 The own a nice little apartment complex and they have a cute back yard

There is also a nice bike trail

We look for Gary and Dan out on the golf course

Lots of things planned for the next couple of days.  We start with the Toledo Lighthouse Waterfront Festival at Maumee Bay State Park

 We get a little Lighthouse history

 

 and visit some of the Art booths

 Stop to listen to some music

 and see the lighthouse

Later we even get treated to another fireworks show!

4th of July - Guilford Lake, OH

It is the 4th of July and rather than driving somewhere in the heat and humidity 

to catch a Parade, 

we stay by Jean and Jim's cottage for the annual boat parade.  

This year's theme is Movies

Must be a rogue pontoon boat.
