After an almost 11 mile hike yesterday I though we'd just chillax, but Gary says lets go back into the Park and hike the other way on the McDonald Creek / John's Lake Loop.
Back over the bridge.
Back over the bridge.
There are shale cliffs along the creek.
Looks like a nice place to park it on a really hot day.
The trail goes into the forest.
But still follows the Creek
There are benches made from logs along the way to stop and take in the views
Again there is lots of moss and fun mushrooms
The Falls are not very far away
I climbed down to get some better shots - looks like I may need longer legs to get back up!
I'll want to watch my step!
A view from a little further down the trail
More fun mushrooms
The trail finishes up by the road that goes in for horseback riding
This is where the creek runs into the north end of the Lake
Lake McDonald with a view to Mountains
A nice little hike and I don't have to go to work tomorrow!
