Today my friend, her daughter and I go to see Linwood Gardens as the Peonies are in bloom.
We encounter a big traffic Jam
A private garden, it is 35 miles southwest of
Rochester in the farmlands of the Genesee Valley. The original garden
landscape was designed in the early 1900s, with an Arts and Crafts style
summerhouse, walled gardens with pools and fountains, ornamental trees,
and a view of the valley
We start inside
and then head outside the Summer House to the grounds and gardens
The Italian Garden
An enormous Weeping Beech
Flower and vegetable gardens
Entry into the walled garden
The Chapel
Had I known there was a Pool, I would have brought a bathing suit.
The view of the Genesee Valley is spectacular
and there were snacks
Home in time to set up for the Birthday Girl's party
