St. Augustine - Week 12

We start off the week with a Bike Ride at Princess Place

I hit the motherload at a thrift store in  Palm Coast.  Found a slew of ladies golf attire at 50 cents each, hopefully the $3.50 spent will improve my game

Only one way to find out!

Had a good round!

Our bike ride this week was to Sweetwater Wetlands in Gainesville.

We meet up with our friends at Cora C. Harrison Preserve in Hastings

This Snowy Egret was waiting for something too

 and we're off!

Our first stop is for lunch at Blue Water Bay grill in Melrose

It's just warm enough to be able to eat outside

 The Shrimp was delicious

 We arrive!

Rain is supposed to arrive sometime after 3, and Amy and Rob want to be back for their dog by 3, so we should have time to do a quick tour of the place

Lots of waterfowl.  But we figure we won't see any alligators as it is only mid-60s out and not very sunny.

A Common Gallinule (Marsh Hen)

A Coot

I think a couple of immature Gallinule

and then someone shouts "Alligator!

An Anhinga

A Little Blue Heron

A Great Heron strutting his stuff

and having a Tete a Tete with an alligator

A baby alligator

and the Great Grandaddy!

The rains came early!  Catch this Great Egret on our way out

So we beat a hasty retreat!

 A great ride!
