Start out the month seeing my favorite hawk

Catch the full moon setting in the morning.

It finally warms up enough to use the sun oven.  Vegetarian Lasagna.

Amazing sunsets

 There are aliens among us!

Super fun Super Bowl party with friends

Invited to our friend Marcia's Cello chamber music concert.  she played Cello with a Pianist

 She is very accomplished.

We became friends when we were in Florida.  They were staying at the campground we were working at and Invited us to their church to hear her play.  They also introduced us to our camground here in Tucson.

There was an art show going on too. Straight from the Heart.  Artwork featuring art by women from Perryville Women’s Prison
 – Arizona’s only state-run prison for women.

Julio Miramontes in front of his painting "Tradition".  He used a bed sheet and discarded two-by-fours to create and frame his piece while in Arizona State Prison in Yuma.

The women cut out stencils with pushpins, “quilling” paper to make flowers and cards, mixing paints from eye makeup, coffee or Kool-Aid powder, and creating “art sponges” from sanitary pads.

The woman who painted this Buffalo was upset because the Prison did away with the acrylic paints.  She had already prepared this canvas to paint in acrylics.  She mixed baby powder with watercolors to mimic the opaque quality of acrylics. she said she'd never do it again, but she said the civil disobedience was worth it.

Finally, our neighbors behind us had seen my glass plate owl and wanted one.  Was able to piece one together for her.
