2023 Winter Trip - Little Manatee State Park

We head out in the rain to our next stop

We arrive at Little Manatee River State Park

 The Sun comes out the next day

It is just over an hour to visit our friends Dale and Patti in Palm Harbor, FL.  So we take the car to go visit for the day.

They take us to Wall Springs Park.

 Dale watches Tucson while we walk the boardwalk along the spring.

We walk up the observation Tower, Patti takes care of Tucson.

A great day!

I had left tomorrow open for reservations and Patti insists we park the camper in their driveway and stay with them.  Twist my arm..

We just fit!

Today's agenda is the Ferry from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Island.

As we approach the docks we encounter some dolphins.

The Island was flooded after the last storm

They had a controlled burn of the Palm trees to get rid of all the dried fronds  - they will come back to life.

First thing I spot on the beach is a horseshoe crab, didn't think they came this far south.

A fun time

Managed to find a few treasures.  We had a great time visiting Patti was a great hostess and we were given the 5 star treatment.  The diet starts Tomorrow.

Unfortunately I somehow managed to lose my camera so photos may suffer.

We stop in Brooksville, FL to visit Gary's former brother in law.  Stay at the campground we dis las time we passed through.  May try it for a couple months next year.

Our next destination is at Fort Pickens in the Gulf Shores National Seashore.  It's a over 8 hours so I found a County campground in Tallahassee, the halfway point
