Winter Trip 2023 - Gulf Shores 1st week

We arrive at Camellia RV Park where we will stay for 2 weeks.  Friends from Winngray in Waynesville have a spot here for the Winter.

A nice clean quiet park

We get a nice spot backing up to an old Pecan orchard 2 doors down from. Our friends.

We go to Weeks Bay Reserve for a hike with Tucson

The trail ends at Weeks Bay

We stop at the visitors Center 

I especially liked this little guy 

At the back of the center as door led out to a boardwalk.

It was quite long

Another day we drove down to Gulf Shores to check out the beach

Red flag warning today 

Not exactly a beach day 

Reminded me more of the Atlantic Ocean

Time to explore elsewhere 

There are lots of walking/bike trails at the State Park.  We do a short walk to Lake Shelby

We check out Downtown Foley and walk the trail from the Antique Roses to the John B. Foley Park.  No Roses but it's still decorated for Christmas 

Next was Fairhope, a pretty little town on Mobile Bay

We start at the Pier 

And then along the path.

And then walked to downtown 

Back to to the Bay

And found these beautiful steps down 

Our friend Gary went to a hunting camp and we finished up the week with some wild boar!
