Lily Mountain Hike

Dogs aren't allowed to hike the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park so we found a dog friendly hike a few miles south - the Lily Mountain Trail - just outside the National Park Boundary

It's a rocky trail

Tucson doesn't mind though

Are we at the summit already?

Nice views but the trail description said 360 degree views - this is only 180

Guess it's as good a place as any for a hydration break
Along the way there are large piles of rocks created by other hikers going by.
Gary adds one for us.

Tucson is happy to be off  leash and leads the way

The views are getting better

Uh Oh - the trail goes up some pretty big rocks

Tucson takes them with leaps and bounds

Hurry Up! What's taking you guys so long?

Guess we finally reached the end of the trail!

Success!

Time to just sit down and take in the view before heading back down the mountain
