Back to NY - Presque Isle, PA

Going back to NY to take Gary's grandson camping before he goes back to school.

We stop over at Presque Isle in PA on our way,
and find a nice campground a few miles away.

Actually from the campground you can see Presque Isle - you have to drive 5 miles down the road to get to the road in though
I get to see 2 Tall Ships go by.
We drive down to Presque Isle State Park

The Campground is where the You Are Here is written in the blue section on middle right.  The Park entry is at the narrow end on the left.
There is a loop drive as well as a bike trail with views of the water
It is more woody than I had expected,
I could definitely live in one of these boat houses!
We take a walk down the North Pier

Spot this Heron
His legs have been tied together with fishing line and a sinker.  People have been called to help it but Herons are not very cooperative.  He seemed to be able to fly OK and got around.

A Stop to see another lighthouse and we walk out on the beach.  There is a ship in the distance
Looks like one of the Tall Ships I saw earlier
 The Presque Isle Lighthouse

On our way out we stop at Sara's for dinner.

We both order the Perch basket.

Tucson hangs out with the Simpsons
We stop at the Lake Erie Arboretum to walk off dinner

and get back in time to catch a sunset.
