Trip South. Ohio to Missouri

It's starting to get frosty - time to book south.
A last dinner out with friends

A beautiful.morning for departure
We come to railroad tracks just before our turnoff to the Tire place.  Gary asks if there are any trains coming.  I reply I don't hear any and the lights aren't flashing so we keep going.  We get the truck over the 1st set if tracks and the lights started flashing and the gates start going down
No way we can get across with a 36' 5th wheel behind us, so he puts it in reverse and steps on it.  The gate comes down about 6" in front of us and a minute later the train is barrelling by.  Too close!
We get to the tire place to get the RV tires replaced.
I took over the driving so no pictures until Gary took over near Dayton and the we went about 15 miles in 1 hour.
We finally make it out of Ohio
And get to Indiana before dark
We stay overnight at a huge rest area.  Close to 150 Truck spaces.
Breakfast at Denny's and we are back on the road.
We play leapfrog with Arron Lewis tour bus and his tractor just outside Indianapolis.

I drove through Illinois then Gary took back over in St. Louis.

We pull over early at a Harvest Host location as it looks like rain is imminent
We split a flight before dinner.
We hoped to get to Oklahoma City tomorrow but it's 500 miles and we have only been averaging about 340 miles a day.  Maybe if we don't run into anymore construction or accidents.
