End of January

Back from St. Croix and time to get stuff done here.

We missed the Indian Rodeo last year, the weather looks good so we head down with our friend Beth.

For a small Rodeo and location it has pretty good rides, carnival fun and food

The rodeo was good too.
Opening Ceremony

The bareback riding was off to a rough start.  This horse dragged the rider for quite awhile.  It took several riders to get it stopped and then it dropped on top of him

After what seemed like an eternity he walked off with a little help
 There was Calf Roping

And bull riding - something that Gary did back in the day and has a scar or two to prove it.  This guy didn't last long
and got a free ride out

The wide horse races required the rider to catch, saddle and ride for a minimum amount of time.  Not very many were successful

This guy had placed his hat on the ground and did a dance around it.

The dance must have done the trick!
The Barrel Races are always exciting to watch.
There were native dance demonstrations too
