A Stop in Winslow Arizona - such a fine site to see

We get onto Route 66 at Winslow Arizona to head to Albuquerque.  Tucson needs to pee and so could I so we park and head down the street where we see an Amtrak Sign.

Turns out the Amtrak station is connected with La Posada a renovated historic hotel.  I leave Gary outside with Tucson while I go in to find the restrooms.  When I got inside there were a couple of dogs in there, so I went back out to tell Gary to come in with Tucson to check out the place as it is awesome!

It seems to go on forever.  It was built in 1929 by the Santa Fe Railroad.  It closed in 1957.

Art work by Tina Mion is everywhere.  Her work is very interesting and unusual.  Signs say not to take pictures of the artwork but I needed to get a picture of this table and chairs.  You can see her work at :

Do I stop or go Mommy?

The restaurant had an interesting menu but it was also the only place dogs were not allowed.  We were able to order lunch and they put it on a tray to take anywhere we wanted to eat.  We went into the small gallery of Tina Mion's work with a video showing her at work.

Tucson likes it here.

Gary had the Chef Salad and I had the Quinoa Salad.  Both were delish!

Time to move on but so glad we stopped.
