We arrive in Whitefish!
Our RV site is behind the Cheap Sleep Motel
There are lots of trees and the site is big enough to have a nice sitting area outside.
Just up the road and next door to the Best Western is a DQ and a bowling alley
Next to that is a Safeway and across the street from the Best Western is a Super One grocery, a Shopko and a Dollar Tree. Don't much need the truck for anything except to drive to Glacier.
Gary will be working at the Pine Lodge
and I will be working at the Best Western. It's a 5 minute walk for me and a 5-10 minute bike ride for Gary.
Downtown is only 1mile away an easy bike ride or not too bad a stroll.
Flowers are everywhere and the Ski Mountain makes a pretty backdrop
The hanging baskets are done by a Garden Center in Columbia Falls. We stopped there on our way back from Glacier - the coolest garden center I've seen.
Downtown Whitefish is full of restaurants and shops and the walks are covered.
A bike trail follows the Flathead River alongside town and goes up to the Whitefish Public Beach on Whitefish Lake and beyond.
There is an absolutely wonderful dog park
Where Tucson can meet and play with many friends
It has a water park and agility course
It has a trail around the circumference so we can walk while Tucson plays
Every Tuesday evening there is a public market in town with crafts
and lots of Food Trucks
There is a train depot in town and a large rail yard. Lots of trains pass through hauling most everything from passengers to lumber.
We look forward to exploring the area!
