On the wet and dreary road again
My set of RV keys mysteriously disappeared in Oregon. We decide we should get them replaced before the one and only set goes missing. Ouch! $16 for two keys! I'll hang on to these babies for sure!
Guess we won't be taking the hike up to the observation tower
Which way do we go??
The Milepost says that the Williams Lake Visitor's Center is really nice so we'll take a break there.
It is a Pioneer grand log post and beam structure
It is 2 stories and 14,596 sq. ft, and is dog friendly!
The center post with its root intact is approximately 10 feet across and rises over 52 feet it was estimated to be 745 years old.
Moving on
We won't quite make Prince George so we stop at Hixon.
A nice clean little campground and the sun comes out!
It even has a hiking trail for Tucson
It goes down to the River - I have to get me a gold pan!
On the way up to Prince George and beyond we have passed several logging trucks and keep going by these lumber mills. There are entire tree logs stacked up high as far back as you can see
I'm amazed there are any trees left anywhere! But the landscape is still chock full of trees
We make it to Prince George, Gas up and pick up some things at the Dollar Tree (which with the exchange rate is the 73 cent store.
