Cheyenne, WY - Botanical Gardens

It's  a beautiful morning and still waiting on parts for roof repairs so we head into Town to visit the Botanical Gardens

One of the many cowboy boots around town
We start out in the Conservatory with the tropical plants
Lots of Koi in the pond
A Thai Black banana blossom and baby bananas
A Mama Elephant and Baby out of twigs
Back outside and we check out the Childrens' Garden
A great place for kids to explore

A creative puppet theater outside the secret garden -
notice the eyes, nose and mouth
Next we hit the regular gardens
A really nice Labrynth
and lots of dedication pavers with great quotes.  A few of my favorites:

I found this one the most relevant to today's issues
So  true

The Keeper of the Garden
The Botanical Gardens are in Lions Park.  You could walk to this section, but with Gary's foot we decided we had walked enough and drove over.
Here is the Union Pacific Steam Engine No. 1242 built in 1890.   It weighs over 198,000 pounds and is 63' long.  It was retired in 1954 and donated to Cheyenne the following year.

We enter the 1800 plaza

And we finish off with a 1929 Farmall Regular Series Tractor

It is a lovely Park and the Gardens are just beautiful.
If I lived here I would come every day!
