Today we go to Caribou Town site for a hike to Caribou Hill. Dogs are allowed off leash so they are happy.
The fields are filled with wild flowers
Gary and I in front of the fixer upper Cabin we can maybe afford.
Good thing we didn't put a deposit down
because we found this beauty down the road
Tucson and Sasha enjoy the cool grass in the shade
Gary and Hughes take a break to chat
Enough lollygagging - time to move on
Hey Mom - you didn't tell us there would be a Rib shack on this hike!
Tucson looking back longingly at another dog in a small pond
The snow-capped mountains come into view
No wildlife viewings yet but a small butterfly on a flower
Time for a break
We are able to keep social distancing up here
We head towards Caribou Hill
The hills are alive . . .
Judy and I take the lead up towards Caribou Hill
Almost to the top
The view is getting better
Reached the top!
Worth the rock scramble up!
Saved the guys the scramble up and continued on
A stop for lunch
What's left of the Town of Caribou
Rain starts as we head out. Interesting fences.
A well deserved dinner of a Rochester, NY favorite - Chicken French!
