Nederland, CO - Week 1

We arrive in Nederland, CO to visit with our friends Judy and Hughes Moir.

Found their street

After a challenging multi point turn with the 5th wheel in their driveway, we finally get into our spot with minor issues.

The net morning I get up at 5:15 a.m., grab my coffee and open the back shade to see an odd shape down by the garage.  It starts to move and heads toward the RV - it's a bear!  It walked right by the bikes in the back - the wooden bear is to the right.  Couldn't get a clear shot due the lack of light and dirty windows.

He/She was good sized

When I opened the side window blind it got spooked and ran off into the woods.

The next day Tucson and Sasha checked out the scene of the crime.  Knocked over stuff but there was no food there.

Gary's daughter and husband drove up from Parker, CO for a quick visit.  Judy and Hughes took us into Nederland to ride the Carousel of Happiness - somehow we missed out on it when we were here 3 years ago.

Due to Covid 19, they were only letting 9 people at a time on the carousel.  Since we were 6 we had to wait a little bit.

But I finally got to ride the Carousel of Happiness and got my choice of the Moose!

Gary's Grandson surprised him and drove up too.

A trip to the Blue Owl to celebrate with some ice-cream!

The next day Judy and Hughes went out to visit friends and we took advantage of the Hot Tub.  I looked outside before getting in an spotted this moose munching on one of their shrubs.

He had his fill and moved on

I spotted this deer on afternoon when I went back up to the RV for something

We also saw a fox but didn't get a picture

Tucson and Sasha spent lot's of time hunting Chipmunks

But they always got the last laugh

One more week to go if Judy and Hughes can put up with us!
