Land Between the Lakes, KY

 We make it to Land Between the Lakes, I was unable to find a site online.

 

So we just drove in and snag 1 out of 378 sites for 5 nights.

The reason the campground is so full mid week is because there is a Halloween Party going on this weekend.

 

 

They really go all out here 

 

 

 

 

Tucson wasn't a big fan of the Black Halloween Cat

There was trick or treating

We had a decent morning and headed over to the Buffalo and Elk Prairie Loop

Three quarters of the way through we spot one lone Buffalo

and one line Eagle

 

 

We also made it to the Homeplace 1850 Farm.  There were a lot of Buffalo at the South Prairie across the way

 

 

 

We were told we should go to Grand Rivers and eat at Patties 1800 Settlement so we head there and find this USACE campground on the way.  If I had known it was here I would have booked here.  Would have saved a bundle plus no crowds and kids.

We get to Pattys at 4:30 to find a 2.5 hour wait.

Would have liked to do some hiking and checkout the wildlife center but we got rained out 2 days.  I did manage to do 2 rocks.

A nice layover.  We even got to visit with our friend LaDonn who we worked with in Panama City for Hurrican Cleanup in 2018
