Another 5 days to go.
A trip to the local vet to get Tucson's prescription for Heartguard
The truck turned 100K miles. My families customary celebration for such events was ice cream - we carried on the tradition
Haircut I got before coming here is growing out nicely
Another round of golf, this time Gary won
Gary brought home some sugar beets on his last day.
They are white not red.
and yes, I did Rocks. Gary wanted to give ours to the farmer he was working for and needed a 2nd one for his brother.
Dropped our mail in Ballots off at the Post Office.
On my way home I got across the tracks just before a train came by.
Good thing as it ended up stopping on the tracks for another train for quite a while.
A reminder that Halloween is just around the corner.
We had a really big thunderstorm/wind storm blow through a couple nights ago and yesterday was extremely windy with 25-30 mph winds and gusts up to 50 mph. Today looks like it will be better.
It is chilly though - 30 degrees this morning with frost.
The leaves are all off the tree.
After the Boss stops by with the Paycheck,
we go for a drive to check out the Beet piles. Looks like the corn fields
have been harvested too.
Solar Silos
Almost there.
Here is the Clontarf Piling Station
This one has pipes that supply cool air into the center of the pile to keep it from overheating.
The Piler and pile of beets
View from the backside
On our way home we pass by some corn harvesters
The harvester fills one of these hopper tractors, which then fills the trucks
That's a lot of corn!
Big farm equipment in Minnesota
Tucson will miss this yard.
Last Dinner is Pan Pizza!
Tomorrow we start our trip south. First stop Lake Prior, MN to visit some friends I made when I was working in the Rio Grand Valley in Texas in 2011.
