Prior Lake, MN to Iowa City, IA

Looks like it is time to head out of Minnesota and go south

We stop for gas and it starts snowing

It clears up and we pass this lovely blue barn

an abundance of huge cornfields

and an interesting sculpture at a small air field

As we get closer to Cedar Rapids it starts snowing again

Uh Oh.  Got to love the first snow storm of the season

Cedar Rapids, not too much further to go.

We are close to our destination F.W. Kent Park, a County Park with camping and water and electric, when the GPS gets us on a gravel road for 3 miles.

But we make it!

  It is a winter wonderland

We were going to park near the shower building, but after discovering
the showers were on, but there was no heat in the building,  we took on water
and picked a pull through spot instead

 Tucson loves the snow

and I guess it is comforting that there is a Tornado Safe Room

Happy to have a safe place to park for the evening.  Tomorrow we should reach St. Louis, MO and warmer temperatures.
