Big Bend Day 2 - Chiso's Basin

After Ernst Tenaja we head to Chiso's Basin

Passing various mountain formations

Good thing we don't have the 5th wheel attached.

We wind our way up into the mountains

We stop to have lunch at the restaurant by the Visitors Center

The view is great

After lunch we take a short hike to the window view

and here it is

But then all the views are pretty awesome

Just as we got back to the truck it started raining.  The view back is pretty bleak

But looks like sunshine ahead

We had a short sprinkle when we got home.  We were sitting in our chairs under the 5th wheel overhang when someone said - Did you see the rainbow? - We said no and then got up and looked behind us.  Wow!  A double one to boot!

A perfect ending to a perfect day.

Tomorrow we go kayaking in Santa Elena Canyon!
