We get on the road again, Stop at the Historic Mile 1083 roadside marker for Destruction Bay
Destruction Bay was is one of several towns that grew from the building of the Alaskan Highway, a relay station spaced at 100 mile intervals for truck drivers. It got its name from when a storm destroyed buildings and materials here.
The Tachal Dal visitors center formerly known as Sheep Mountain
It is the primary Winter and Spring lambing area for Dall Sheep
We pass through a pretty heavy dust storm through the mud flats
Next stop is Haines Junction.
I don't know how I managed to miss this sculpture on the way up to Alaska The Village Monument is the most photographed spot in Haines. It is nicknamed the "Muffin" or "Animal Cupcake".

We decide to stay at the Yukon Motel tonight, we stayed here on the way up to Alaska in May.
