Trip North - Sidney to Lake Luzerne

We leave Sidney

and head to Schodack Island State Park to spend a couple nights 

with Gary's Grandson, Caleb.

Got a nice site.

 

They had an infestation of Cicada Killers in the open areas - we were lucky and had none near us.

 

Then we head to Lake Luzerne to visit Gary's Brother.

Our usual nice spot in the yard

 We saw that Gary and Linda the couple we are visiting in Nova Scotia were in Onandoga Lake.  Told them they were only 1,5 hours away and there was room for them here. 

The took us up on the offer and we had a nice visit and dinner.

and of course we had to take them to Martha's for ice cream!

Kept seeing signs for the Historic Parabolic Bridge

 so had to drive by to see it.

 It crosses over the Sacandaga River

we watched rafters float on by.

We had a nice visit but it is time to head North!
