We leave Matt's and head to our next stop - a Boondockers Welcome
in Yarmouth, ME.
It had poured all afternoon yesterday and last night. When I walk Tucson
we see that the brook is running hard and the road where we plan on
exiting is starting to wash out.
It was a bit dicey but we made it out and arrived safe and sound
to North Yarmouth, ME
and our Boondockers Welcome site. Turns out that the hosts were at Desert Trails in Tucson with us and we knew all the same people and Tucson
reconnected with their dog Pria.
Tucson says - looks like a beautiful day!
Our first morning we decide to head into Freeport and
check it out before the weekend.
Gary has been wanting to hit the L.L. Bean outlet
No bargains to be had here anymore. Last time I was here was 37 years ago. It is a tourist trap now.
We head back and check out Cousins Island on our way.
Over the bridge
to a small beach
We hike a short trail
Do a drive to the end of the Island
On our way back home we stop at another small trail
It is a short loop through some woods.
I was fortunate to see my first Black and White Warbler
Back to the truck
and back home.
The road we are staying on turns to dirt and it is a nice walk for Tucson
