We spent the months of May and June working at Canyons Bed and Breakfast in Escalante Utah. I found the job back in December and we were planning on touring Utah this Summer so were very happy when we got it.Turned out to be a God's wink that we did when Covid 19 hit.
It is a small 4 bedroom B&B right on main street.
They have 2 FHU RV sites behind the B&B. We spent the first month on the one on the right - a pull thru, then moved to the one on the left
It had more shade and less dust.
View from our entry from RV sites.
The B&B
Front entry into breakfast room which was closed for Covid19, breakfast was brought to the guests' rooms.
Small addition was guest lounge area
3 guest rooms on the backside. The 4th was on the front.
Garage
We trimmed up the shrubs
Back yard patio under the old apricot tree
Cactus bloomed while we were there.
Planted 3 new Plum Trees
The 2 garden plots behind our RV
One of our projects was weeding the strawberry bed
enlarging the border
While Tucson supervised
and then mulching and putting down pavers
A couple times I helped out with cleaning the rooms
They were absolutely lovely
Our job was to water the gardens (a never ending task), weeding (another ever ending task) and planting. Found a spot here for a pepper plant.
They have a resident cat named Moqui. Tucson was bound and determined to make her his friend.
But she was more interested in chasing butterflies in the Cat Mint.
Gary planting a new shrub
and me Planting flowers
Gary working on the rock pile
While I prefer painting rocks. I had done these in Tucson and thought this was a nice home for them.
The horse head found a home at the Cowboy Room
I had started painting rocks in Tucson when quarantined by the pandemic. They had stone flowers and sayings on them - mostly Be Kind, I dispersed them around the Park we stayed at.
Decided to do the same here. Each went to a business in Town anonymously. I guess the 1st one at the grocery store (said Welcome on one side and Thank you on the other) caused quite a stir.
