We spent a lot of time at the Campground just relaxing, but here for one week so I get Gary out to see what Myrtle Beach is about as I had spent 2 months here when I first started out and just before we met.
We stopped at Broadway at the Beach, a shopping center and entertainment complex. Free to just walk around but you pay for the attractions
Gary seems to be holding up well today
There is a boardwalk through the complex
and sea creatures below
Off in the distance is King Kong at the Hollywood Wax Museum
We try a bike ride to a nearby Art Museum
We lost the bike path the main road so turned around and got the truck. This was one of my favorite places when I was here in 2014
A cool Octopus sculpture out front filled with litter from the beach
Maritime art on display
We also ventured to Market Commons - close to the State Park. The Market Common is a 114-acre lifestyle shopping center with a Downtown feel
There is even the Grand Park across the street. With playgrounds, Ball fields and walking trails
One of the more popular places to live in Myrtle Beach and it has gotten much bigger since I was here in 2014. Housing starts in the 300's
Across the street from the State Park behind the Food Lion is a huge dog park. There is a dry play area
and another huge area with a pond
and another huge area with a pond
Gary thought the Truck deserved a little TLC too, so it got a hand wash
I unfortunately when pushing the door closed, my thumb slipped and got caught - Ouch
Hope that doesn't affect my golf game!
