Alabama - Fairhope

We arrive in Summerdale, AL to the Rainbow Plantation Escapee Park.  Time to settle in for a few days.  We ordered portable solar panels and they are being delivered to Walmart in Robertsdale.    It's out in the country and has big sites  and has trees.

The town of Fairhope isn't too far away so we head there on a cloudy day.  It is Sunday and it is the South so nothing is open.  We head to the Pier.
I wander down to use the restrooms

And find these two characters.  The are trying to steal a fisherman's bait - he says they have been on the pier for 13 years

They don't mind posing for photos

There are purple martin houses all throughout the water

There is a nice walking trail along the water.  We go a short ways before it starts to get really windy and sprinkle
So we hop back in the Truck and take the short scenic drive along the water
A nice little area with a bridge and pond

and ducks and geese.

We had passed some magnificent horse farms on the way here and I planned on taking pictures on the way home but it was pouring.  I did find this picture of one for sale online, only they don't call them horse farms, they are equestrian farms.  It is near the Polo Club at Point Clear and is a mere 3 million dollars
