We head out of Port Arthur and head to New Orleans
We arrive in Louisiana
We run out of road
It's a free ferry this way.
The next day we pull into the Three Oaks and a Pine RV Resort. Everything is full for the weekend so we can only get tonight. Fortunately we get here just before Noon so we have the afternoon to spend in New Orleans French Quarter
It's not much, but it is close to where we want to be and it is an Escapee's 1/2 price park so the price is right.
We made it to the Big Easy!
Complete with live Street Jazz
Beautiful Balconies
Street Art
Entertainers
Cathedral St. Louis and Jackson Square
A horse of a different color
Jackson Square
Joan of Arc Statue at the
It is NOLA's 300th Birthday
View from Washington Artillery Park
Time for lunch at the Market Cafe
Fresh Boiled Shrimp, Gumbo and a Muffaletta Sandwich
and watch the horse carriages go by
More musicians
and a tour about the French Market
We are able to resist the Pralines
But not the Coffee and Beignets at Cafe Du Monde
A pretty full afternoon in the French Quarter - time to head home
1/2 a day was just enough! Tomorrow we will work our way to the Escapee Park in Summerdale, AL
