We bee-line to Great Smoky Mtns from Asheville -
it is only an hour and half drive.
We close in on the Visitor's Center
and for once the sign was right!
We get to the campground around 5:30
We are not getting into the spot I reserved. It is only 30' long and Gary doesn't have room to back in. I specifically said we had a 36' 5th wheel. I caught the ranger leaving and she said to find something in C section which was 1st come 1st serve.
Got there and tried an open spot but bikes on back hung over picnic table and we still stuck out. Someone told us there was a single site further down by itself we would fit in. The people left the day before - It was perfect!
Tucson scoped out his new yard.
It even came with a flower vase
So glad we got a spot and the best one in the house to boot!
Tomorrow we explore!
