Trip North - Acadia to Bay of Fundy

We leave Acadia National Park and head to Bay of Fundy
in New Brunswick, Canada

Just about at the 1/2 way point

Calais is the border town in the US
One last gas up in the U.S. at $2.92 / gal.
We cross the bridge
and wait our turn.  Of course I am a nervous wreck imagining getting pulled
over and our RV being torn apart.  But when it is our turn we pull over to
the Right which pretty much blocks all other traffic from the entry
on the left so we breeze through fairly quickly
Route 1 through New Brunswick is a nice drive.

Not much in the way of pull outs until we get to this
Visitor's Center just before our exit.
There is a lovely Marsh behind it
 We pass through St. John
and finally get to our exit
The road down to the Bay is a bit bumpy
but after a few miles it improves.
 Uh oh
There goes that nice new road.
The final stretch is a steep winding road down
but the view!
 Headquarters Campground is just ahead
Our reservations were for tomorrow but the weather forecasted heavy rain on Wednesday so we take our chances coming in a day early.  I had emailed the Park to check that it was open and operating normally and was assured that
it was fully functional.  Well I guess that means no electricity.
We set up and head into Alma for dinner.
Looks like the Tide is coming in
We drive through Town and end up here.  Turns out it is the only place open.
Gary not being a lobster guy has a hamburger and
I opted for the steamers.

The next morning we wake to still no electricity.  After we get up and go out we find out everyone else does.  A kind Canadian guy has a "squeaker" to check our electric box.  Turns out it has power, but when we plug in our surge protector or 50 amp plug it doesn't come through.  We check an empty site across the way and it works there but the office doesn't open until 11.  Gary and his new  friend find someone from the park and they come over.  After flicking the breaker switches several times it finally works.

Now we can go have fun!
