Trip North - Bay of Fundy, NB

Now that we have electricity we can start our tour of
the Bay of Fundy.  A couple of short hikes at Pt Wolfe so
we head there
Gary spots this porcupine
One of the hikes was to this Covered Bridge but we never saw a trailhead.

We walked a little ways down a fire road and got this view

My first stairmaster of the day

at this point we decide just to head back and go to the Hopewell Rocks
to get there in time to see some tide change and walk on the flats.

The tide still looks pretty high, low tide is at 4:30 this afternoon.
The fishing boats are in the water this morning
Oh boy!  A shortcut!
Glad we have a GMC

Still a lot of water out there.

We pass by several pretty marshes

Signs for Hopewell Rocks
another Covered Bridge

We arrive at Hopewell Rocks and stop for Lunch
You can see out the window how low the water has gotten.  It can recede by 13 vertical feet an hour.  It is usually up to the top of the red rock and you can see the mud flats forming.  You can walk out 3 hours before and 3 hours after low tide.  We will be hitting it just right at 1:30

Can't wait to see them!  Saving it for a separate post - stay tuned!
