Didn't do much of yesterday after my 2 hour
venture into Bar Harbor and Gary has been after
me to start painting - so I decided to paint
the piece of Birch Bark I picked up at
Pemaqud Point - figured the Pemaquid Lighthouse
was an appropriate subject

Gary is feeling a little better this morning so I make an Itinerary
using the Island Explorer so he doesn't have to drive.
We leave after Lunch on the 12:20 No. 1 Oceanarium bus to the Village Green
in Bar Harbor. Tucson says I got this!
We pick up the No. 3 Sand Beach Bus
at the Village Green to go to Thunder Hole.
Gary disembarks
It's just a short walk across the road to Thunder Hole
High Tide is at 3:29 p.m. We get here around 1:30. It's not up to Thunder
point yet.
We do get to spot a Seal
and the Scenery is great too
Here's looking at you Gary!
Time to pick up the No. 4 Loop bus to the Visitor's Center where we
will pick up the No. 1 back to the Campgroud
Back on the Loop Road
The Island Explorer can be a wild ride! It goes fast so getting shots to the side
are impossible and alot of the scenes are behind me before I can even aim my camera.
Got one!
Pass by the Stables
We get to the Visitor's Center our last stop before we connect
to our bus home. I want to check for a hat pin.
No problem only 52 steps up!
Lines to big and didn't want to miss the first bus back so
didn't get the pin.
Not a bad afternoon. Got Gary out into some fresh air and a
quick overview of the Park. Hope he is feeling better in
the morning and he can join me on the one mile hike to Bar Island - only accessible 1.5 hours before and after low tide.
