Tucson - November

We arrive at Desert Trails and enjoy a beautiful sunrise
A Praying Mantis hangs out on our water post

We take walks in the Desert
The hummingbirds are happy we are back and filling the feeder
Other birds keep an eye on us
We go to the Arts and Craft Show at the Art Museum
 Apparently I wore camouflage

Happy belated Birthday to Gary - we get a new truck!

Thanksgiving was spent at the Rec Hall.

We joined friends at the Irish Christmas at the Fox Theater in Tucson

Gary with the Good  Time Girls, Judy and Beth

and every Monday we GET OUT and do the Meet Me at Maynards walk
you can do a 2, 3 or 4 mile option
afterwards there is a raffle for gift certificates for area businesses.  Beth and Art left to go do dinner  so Gary accepted Art's $25 gift card to the Running Shoe

Mural Bike Ride

Today a group of us take a bike ride downtown that goes past a large portion of the Tucson Murals 8 were painted last Summer for the Tucson Mural Project
We assemble in the parking area of one of the Loop access points
Gary looks determined to do it all
 The first Mural

a very large dragonfly

This beautiful Jaquar was actually not a part of the Mural Project but it was courtesy of the Center for Biological Diversity’s national Endangered Species Mural program,
 The Goddess of Agave

I love the flow of this one

At one point we realize we are only 10  minute from the Rattlesnake Bridge so we do a short side trip for people that have never seen it.

When you exit the back side of the bridge, the tail rattles
Basketball announcer Bill Walton riding a Jackalope

a group shot in front of the really cool arbor

At the end we stop at El Mercado for a refreshing drink but end up with a Banana Split instead!

My kind of bike ride
