Trip West - Kayuta Lake

We leave Lake Luzerne and head to Boonville, NY to visit friends Kathy and Ben.  Got a Boondockers Welcome spot for 3 nights only 7 miles from the Lake.

We have a day free before they come up to the Lake so we do a tour of the Town.  the Canal Museum is closed but I nose around outside.

A neat covered bridge

Don't think I'll Go this way

The neighbors to our Boondockers Welcome Hosts are a bit eclectic

And a drive to Pixley Falls

Our friends have a really cute cottage on the Lake

Tucson tried his hand at herding ducks

Gary and Ben caught up on the deck

a nice dinner looking over the lake and one of Ben's famous Mr Wiggly cocktails.

We did a drive into the Adirondacks and had lunch

A really great visit.  Hate to leave and wish we could afford the cottage next door!

Next stop Sidney, NY

Trip North - Rochester, last two weeks, Caleb's Graduation and Lake Luzerne visit

Got some golfing in

Another golfer pointed out this newborn deer lying just off the fairway

A short delay waiting for the Geese to cross

Traffic starting to pick up on the Canal

And saw several Snapping turtles

 Their tails look prehistoric

many were laying eggs

Breakfast with an old High School friend, actually she's 6 days younger.

Took time to paint some feathers

My friend's daughter's horse sugar

Another bike ride with Gary sporting his Cycle the Erie Canal shirt

4.5 miles to Holley for breakfast at Sam's Diner

and 4.5 miles back

Lunch with my Cousins

A quick trip to Ohio for my friend Jean's Memorial

 The scenic route through Buffalo

Cheap Diesel at the Indian Reservation

Our Hotel in Carrolton, OH

On the way to the Memorial, we stop at the Farm.  Tucson is not happy that his Dog House is locked up.

The Memorial was a garden party at her home on the Lake.

'
Tucson got to take a dip

Good thing we didn't bring the 5th wheel because on our way home,  the GPS took us through a small tunnel and a single lane road.

It rained most of the way back .

Back in Holley for a night then on to Caleb's graduation in the Albany area.

Took the scenic route through the Adirondacks to Gary's Brother's in Lake Luzerne.  Then drove from there to the Graduation.

We head to Schodack, south of Albany for the graduation.

and Schodack Island State Park

A beautiful day for a Graduation.  Fortunately they had opened up the graduation to more than 4 people per graduate, so I was able to attend.

A nice ceremony, very personalized as it was only a class of 11

Spent a relaxing Father's Day with Gary's daughter, brother and his wife and family.

Painted the Birch Bark I found on the Hadley Mountain Hike

Spent some more time in Lake Luzerne visiting and enjoying the area before heading out.

Next stop -visiting friends at Kayuta Lake.
