Tucson - last 2 weeks November

Happy to be back to the pool!

The 1st weekend a yard sale and Craft show

We got here too late to sign up the the Thanksgiving Dinner at the clubhouse, since there were no small turkeys or breasts available, we settled on steak

Tucson gets a nice raised bed so he doesn't have to lie on the stones

Back to colorful sunsets

Otherwise, this place is for the birds!

November was a busy month!

Trip South - Final stretch

We head South to Tucson

First stop is in Aguilar, CO at Gears RV

In a remote area but a really nice little Cafe.  Yay, don't have to cook dinner. The Green Chili was yum.

We wake up to snow!

Hopefully NM will be warmer.  A nice breakfast at the Cafe and we are on the road.

Next stop is in Rio Rancho, NM.  We had hoped to visit friends we met in Desert Trails, but they were not feeling well.  Had a nice spot at the Coronado Campground in Bernalillo.

It sets next to the Rio Grand River

Adios!

We pass through Hatch, NM, Chili Capital of the World!  Everytime I say we'll stop here for a visit, but once again we are on a schedule.

Last stop before Tucson is Deming, NM.  We try a new Park this time.

You know you're getting close when the "Thing" billboards appear.

Thankfully no winds today

They want Gary to get off, but I don't let him!

Fraglle Rock

I don't remember seeing so much water along this stretch before

And we arrive in Arizona!

We stop at my favorite rest area - Texas Canyon. Parked next to the big Boys we look pretty small!

Almost there when we get to the Davis Monthan Airforce Base Airplane Boneyard.

Home!

Trip South - CO

 We arrive in Colorado!

Stop at Lucy's Place for breakfast.

and finally arrive at Gary's daughter's house

Doesn't take Gary long to settle in

Cozying up with the great grandkids to watch Beauty and the Beast

Guess the 3D dinosaur and dinisau finger puppets were a hit.

Gary's grandsons drove up from Denver to see him and we had an early Thanksgiving Dinner

Feel the Love!

It's a bit chilly at night, single digits.

But the days are nice so we go for a hike.  Nice drive to Lory State Park, by Horsetooth Reservoir.

The moon is setting when we arrive

And we're  off

A great visit but all good things come to an end.  Time for the final stretch to Tucson and hopefully warmer weather .
