DECEMBER - Hike up Brown Mountain

There aren't that many hiking trails that allow dogs here but we hear that we can hike Brown Mountain trail with Tucson, so of we go.  The trailhead starts at the Gilbert Ray Campground

It's in the Tucson Mountain Park adjacent to Saguaro National Park

Up the first mountain

 Glad I'm walking and not riding a bike

 

You don't want to get too close to those cacti riding by, they do jump out and bite you

This Saguaro seems to be saying How do you do?

Another hill looms ahead

Hopefully the final peak

 We reach the far side of the loop.  That's the Desert Museum in the background

A nice hike, about 8.5 miles
