Old Tucson Studios

Old Tucson Studios a old west town set made famous as the location for more than 300 movies, Arizona, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, 3:10 to Yuma, The Man who loved Cat Dancing, Three Amigos,  and TV shows High Chaparral, Bonanza,  and little House on the Prairie to name just a few.  There was a fire in 1995 which destroyed many of the buildings.  It reopened in 1997, the sets that were lost were not rebuilt but new sets were constructed.

Costumed actors perform throughout the day all around the town.

This is a case of No Honor among Thieves
A botched bank
robbery pits criminals against each other in
this dramatic depiction of outlaw greed.

Of course, crime doesn't pay

 The Saloon

Can they dance?  Yes they Can Can

There's a Stage Coach you can take to ride around town.

There's also a train ride.  Which is free.  So we took a break from walking a bit.

Here's the set of the Mission

Front

and Back

The set for High Chaparral.  It was being renovated so we couldn't get inside

The General Store

The do a show on stunts at the Mission.  The guys that do it are pretty funny.  They poke fun at the people as they arrive for the show, glad we got there early

A Tour of the Haunted Mine

I told Gary to leave that horse alone!
