A few colorful holdouts
The Roses are still doing well
Walking you can see some of the damage that was done during the flood. Pillars and fencing fell down
A break for Tucson, who is well camouflaged
More storm damage
Still having dental work and going on 4 months of protein shakes. An appt this week to get time frame for finishing up. Pained this for my Dentist
Another ride to see if the road to Balsam Mountain is open. Maggie Valley is decorated for Fall
Road is still closed, but a young lady volunteers to take a picture of us.
I can see for miles and miles
Saw one line Elk along the way
Our friends Patti and Dale are back from Florida to close their RV up. We still have some beautiful weather so we take an ride up 276 to the Blue Ridge Parkway because they've opened another section.
The Gateway to most of our rides
Francis Mill again
this used to be a Fish Hatchery
This beautiful home has its front yard filled with rocks and boulders right to the door.
We reach the Parkway and it's a beautiful ride
We get a great view of Looking Glass Mountain
When the rock surface gets wet or covered in ice it looks like a mirror
We got as far as Graveyard Fields and hoped to return via 215, just a mile down the road but the entrance was closed so we turned around
A great ride and probably our last. We will be winterizing the 5th wheel and moving into our Class C. We are taking a trip to the coast to Cedar Point Campground, North of Wilmington NC for a week before returning here for hopefully the final phase of my dental work!
