We take a ride to Whitewater Falls - highest falls East of the Rockies.
We start on the Great Smokey Mountains Expressway
Then follow the Tuckaseegee River
Past Glenville Lake
Through Cashiers
Our first stop is Silver Run Falls
A short but pretty hike/walk
To a small Fall and pool
We continue on to Whitewater Falls
A glimpse of Lake Jocasse I believe
Guess I missed the South Carolina sign
We make it to the trail
And soon get a view of the falls
411 feet tall
There is a stair master down - 154 steps down

What goes down goes back up!

And then we head home
Can't avoid road work, even in the forest
We stop at Sunburst Falls on 215 on our way home. We've driven by several times but never stopped.
Looks inviting!
